MTV Splitsvilla has returned with a brand new season: Splitsvilla X6: Pyaar Ya Paisa, bringing its signature mix of romance, rivalry and drama. Season 16 of the popular dating reality show premiered on January
9 with the first three episodes already streaming.
As the episodes progress, tensions inside the villa continue to escalate, with drama reaching new highs. The latest episode was no different, as it witnessed a major showdown after contestant Kaira passed body-shaming remarks on her fellow contestants. The comments didn’t go down well with mischief-maker Nia Sharma, who called out Kaira and slammed her for the insensitive remarks.

Nia recalled her own journey and shared how she didn’t know makeup when she first stepped into the industry as well. Urfi also supported Nia. Nia said, “Where did this height issue come from? Face, makeup or no makeup? Are you living under a rock? Is that what you’re fighting about? I have dark circles and I can come here with no makeup and stand here with the same attitude.”
She added, “Everything aside, but you can’t comment on someone’s face or height. You should be ashamed of yourself. This is not who we are today. How can you say that about a girl while being a girl yourself?”
The first few episodes showcased several engaging moments as contestants began forming connections inside the villa. Aron was seen pairing up with Asmita, while Kushal struck a connection with Kaira.

Sunny Leone returned as the fan-favourite host of the show, while actor Karan Kundra joined her as the co-host. Nia Sharma and Urfi Javed take on the role of “mischief makers,” influencing contestants’ choices and introducing unexpected twists to the game.
The new season of Splitsvilla introduces a new show format that divides 32 contestants into two groups- the Pyaar Villa and the Paisa Villa, with emotions and monetary choices driving the game forward.
Akanksha Choudhary, Anjali Schmuck, Anisha Shinde, Diksha Pawar, Sadhaaf Shankar, Soundharya Shetty, Simran Khan, Chakshdeep Singh, Yogesh Rawat, Sorab Bedi, Anuj Sharma, Tayne De Villiers, Ayush Sharma, Harshit Gururani and Himanshu Arora are in the Pyaar Villa.
And The Paisa Villa includes Keona Walke, Khushi Rawal, Zalak Gohil, Preet Singh, Anushka Ghosh, Asmita Adhikari, Kaira Anu and Niharika Tiwari, Kushal Tanwar (Gullu), Aarav Chugh, Vishu Bajaj, Ayush Jamwal, Gaursh Gujral, Ron Kariappa, Deeptanshu Saini and Mohit Magotra.
Karan Kundra and Sunny Leone are hosting the Pyaar Villa, while Nia Sharma and Urfi Javed are hosting the Paisa Villa. The show airs thrice a week- every Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 7 pm, on MTV India and JioHotstar.
