Barrel jeans are living and loving their moment in the sun. What was once considered an awkward pair of jeans that could only be styled by fashionistas, who love to be creative and make bold statements
via their clothes, has now become a wardrobe staple for the public.
For the unversed, Levi’s defines the barrel jeans as those denims “with a curved, barrel-like silhouette that’s wider at the thigh and knee than it is at the waist and ankle”. These pants have carefully constructed panels that give the pants a more balloon-like shape through the leg, while they have a “fitted waist and tapered ankle”.

Alia Bhatt’s vest and jean moment
Alia Bhatt has announced that she will be backing a new film titled Don’t Be Shy, via her production house, Eternal Sunshine. She will be joined by her sister Shaheen Bhatt, and the sibling duo will be headlining the film together. For the promotions of this new movie, Alia Bhatt shared a video to her Instagram and had two outfit changes in the promo.

In the first look, Alia Bhatt wore a textured brown and yellow knit waistcoat over a crisp white shirt from Zara. She paired it with Levi’s Cinch Barrel Jeans that cost Rs 4,629 and high-heel mules with a price tag of Rs 4,950 from Zara.
For look number two, the actor wore a billowy, light pink, high-neck shirt with a pussy bow at the neck by Maje Paris.
Kareena Kapoor Khan’s loved-up glam
A few days back, the actor stepped out to visit a restaurant in Mumbai. She was accompanied by her husband, actor Saif Ali Khan. Dressed super casually, the royal couple walked hand-in-hand to and from the restaurant. Saif Ali Khan wore a pair of light blue, straight-cut jeans with a navy blue polo shirt tucked in. A black belt and black sunnies were the only accessories the actor wore, along with brown boots.

On the other hand, Kareena Kapoor Khan wore the Agra Shirt, a brightly hued, multicoloured striped shirt from Princess Gauravi Kumari of Jaipur’s brand PDKF Store that retails for Rs 3,800. The unique SOP of this button-up shirt is that it is handcrafted using upcycled striped cotton fabrics and features colour-blocked fabrics stitched together. With an oversized fit, it has long sleeves and a rounded hem, which is longer at the back.
She styled this look with a pair of dark blue, mid-waist barrel jeans from Zara that she tied together with a Buckle Leather Belt that costs $720 (Rs 66,011) from YSL. A brown bag from Loro Piana that costs €3,400, with black Alaia sunglasses and black pointed-toe shoes, rounded off this super casual lunch look for Kareen Kapoor Khan.
Rashmika Mandanna’s comfy airport look

Spotted at the airport, just before she got on a flight, actor Rashmika Mandanna was papped wearing barrel-leg denim pants. The actor has always chosen comfort over being fashionable, and this time as well, she chose an easy outfit for her flight. Rashmika Mandanna opted for a pair of acid-wash All Saints Jet Barrel Leg Denim Jeans.
She paired it with a basic white graphic t-shirt from Onitsuka Tiger, with blue piping around the collar that costs $110 (Rs 10,085). To give the otherwise baggy look some shape, she cropped the tee by tying a knot at her side.
To complete the look, she wore a pair of black square-frame sunglasses ($1,091) from Farfetch and styled her hair in loose, soft curls with barely any makeup.
