Ever since Ranveer Singh’s controversial exit from Don 3, everyone is curious to know who will take Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan’s legacy forward. While no name has been officially confirmed as of now,
actor and content creator Nadeesh Bhambi recently took to his Instagram handle and asked if Farhan is directing Don 3, why can’t he play the lead in it.
In the video, Bhambi, who was recently also seen in Cocktail 2, asked Farhan to ‘introspect’. “Unhe khud mein hi don mil jaaega,” he said. The actor further explained that Farhan’s casting in the movie might evolve Don’s character. He argued that while Big B and SRK’s don had a charm, “Farhan Akhtar’s don can be a calculated, cold blooded killer.” He also justified his opinion by saying that with Farhan’s previous films, he has proved that his screen presence can also be “intimidating”.
What Do Netizens Think?
Soon after the video was shared online, several social media users reacted to it and expressed their views. While some argued that Farhan might be a good fit, others doubted it and recommended Varun Dhawan or Kartik Aaryan’s name for the role.
“@faroutakhtar, I agree with him bro….a cold blooded calculated Don🔥❤️,” one of the fans wrote. “Honestly I think that Varun Dhavan would be a perfect fit since he has that cold look and can be very intimidating I think it would be a great comeback and I can feel that talent in him,” added another.
One of the fans also urged Farhan to cast SRK and commented, “Don without SRK 😢 bhai na hi banao to acha h🙌(sic).”
Farhan Vs Ranveer Over Don 3
Farhan Akhtar has been facing uncertainty over Don 3. The fallout between him and Ranveer Singh over the film has become one of Bollywood’s biggest controversies. According to multiple online reports, Singh exited the film due to creative differences with the makers. Several reports also suggested that Ranveer was unhappy with repeated delays in production and the absence of a locked final script.
What initially appeared to be a routine casting change has now escalated into a legal matter, with Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment demanding Rs 45 crore in compensation and the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) issuing a non-cooperation directive against the actor, which has now been revoked.
