Seetha Payanam
Actor and filmmaker Arjun Sarja’s directorial Seetha Payanam follows Seetha, a chef who narrowly survives a life-threatening accident. Determined to express gratitude to those who helped save her life, she embarks on an emotional journey that leads her to Abhishek, a charming yet mysterious stranger. As their relationship deepens, a concealed truth about Abhishek emerges, forcing Seetha to make a difficult choice between love, integrity and the future she imagines for herself.
The film features Niranjan, nephew of popular Kannada and Telugu actor Upendra, as the male lead. Away from the action and thrillers, this romantic drama is perfect for those who are willing to watch some heartfelt stories.
Second Case of Seetharam
Helmed by Devi Prasad Shetty, the crime thriller follows Inspector Seetharam, who is haunted by two shadows: a psychotic offender leaving a trail of carnage across the town and the memory of the sister he hasn’t seen in years. As the death count rises, Seetharam realises that the path to his sister’s redemption is blocked by a predator. So, he starts investigating a series of homicides while battling the personal demons tied to his estranged sister.
The film, releasing in the Kannada and Tamil languages, features Vijay Raghavendra, Gopal Krishna Deshpande, and Usha Bhandari in key roles.
My Lord
Released on February 13, Seetha Payanam revolves around a man and his wife battling bureaucracy after being wrongly declared dead. He confronts a kidney trafficking ring connected to corrupt politicians that destroyed his life. The Tamil-language political satire film, written and directed by Raju Murugan, stars M. Sasikumar and Chaithra J. Achar in the lead roles, alongside Asha Sharath, Guru Somasundaram, Jayaprakash, Gopi Nainar and Vasumithra in important roles.
Alpha: Men Love Vengeance
The Kannada language suspense thriller follows Arjun, a hot-headed young man who idolises his father, Shakthi, an honest police inspector. The latter wishes to see his son become an IPS officer. But things turn brutal when three morally conflicted assassins are tasked to transport drugs worth crores. When their paths collide, their actions trigger betrayal, test legacies, and set the stage for redemption, where one man’s future could mean another’s downfall.
