Pooja Hegde brought the opulence of Benarasi brocade to Malaysia, and we can’t get enough of it. For the Jana Nayagan audio launch in Malaysia, the actor graced the event in a contemporary Indian ensemble
designed by renowned fashion designer Anita Dongre.
Styled by celebrity stylist Tanya Ghavri, the Benarasi brocade textile was designed in a one-of-a-kind saree gown and was paired with a corset blouse. Pooja Hegde looked stunning in the drape crafted to celebrate Indian heritage through a modern lens.
Pooja posted a series of images in the conceptual saree. Loving every bit of the ensemble, Pooja’s caption read as: “Jana Nayagan Audio Launch day. Here’s 54679867 photos of me because I loved my look…Feeling like a princess in custom @anitadongre.”

Pooja Hegde is all set to star in Jana Nayagan, starring superstar Vijay, and the audio launch was nothing short of a spectacle. Pooja looked effortlessly gorgeous in the saree gown.
Describing the couture sari gown, Tanya took to Instagram and shared that the brocade drape saree gown meets an embroidered gota patti and sequin corset, finished with intricate dori work where tradition is sculpted into couture and elegance makes a bold statement.

The Timeless Benarasi Brocade
A centuries-old craft form, the Benarasi weave is created when additional wefts are made of metallic fibres and woven into the yarn on the loom that brings to life intricate motifs, inspired by nature. A Benarasi saree is crafted in silk and is further elevated with gota patti and sequins.
Pooja’s saree gown gives the weave a contemporary makeover without losing its traditional touch. The creatively pre-stitched drape and the intricately embroidered corset blouse makes this ensemble a perfect look for the wedding season.

Keeping It Effortlessly Glamorous
If Pooja kept her style traditionally chic, her glam was perfectly dramatic. The extended, thick-winged eyeliner and the highlighted cheekbones complemented Pooja’s flawless beauty. Her makeup was done by celebrity makeup artist Kajol S Mulani. Matching her dramatic dazzle, celebrity hair stylist Suhaas Shinde added a long braid, making Pooja look straight out of a painting. The layered statement jewellery pieces added a hint of sparkle to her surreal look.
Jana Nayagan is all set to release on January 9, 2026. The film also stars actor Bobby Deol.
