Thamma, starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in prominent roles, is set to hit theatres on October 21. Before its release, the actors are leaving no opportunity to promote
the film. Ahead of the release, fans have been predicting a number of Maddock Horror Comedy Universe cameos but none of it has been revealed yet. In his latest interview, Ayushmann Khurrana said that there are about three to four cameos.
In an interaction with Pinkvilla, Ayushmann Khurrana and Nawazuddin Siddiqui were questioned about the cameos lined up for the film. Ayushmann noted “Aapko kya lag raha hai, kaun aa sakta hai? Hum toh bata nahi sakte, humein allowed nahi hai (What do you think? Who could appear? We can’t say because we’re not allowed to).”
Further, Ayushmann added, “Kitne cameos hain?! Teen se chaar cameos hain. Teen toh hain hì (How many cameos? There are three to four. Three for sure).” When asked directly if Stree’s Shraddha Kapoor would appear in Thamma, both actors avoided replying, implying that fans would find out soon enough.
Thamma – Plot and Cast
Thamma is the fifth installment in the Maddock Horror Comedy Universe (MHCU). Aditya Sarpotdar of Munjya fame directs the film, which was written by Niren Bhatt, Suresh Mathew and Arun Falara. The plot revolves around Alok Goyal, a young man who accidentally stumbles upon an imprisoned Yakshasan, resulting in his transformation into a vampire. However, he quickly realises that his fate is far more complicated than anticipated, as he is forced to face unexpected consequences.
The plot revolves around Alok’s battle with his metamorphosis, while his father desperately attempts to reverse the process, all while dealing with dark forces at work. In addition to the lead trio, the film stars Paresh Rawal, Sathyaraj, Faisal Malik, Geeta Aggarwal, Rachit Singh and others in key parts. Furthermore, Nora Fatehi and Malaika Arora make guest appearances in two tracks each.
