CJP Protest: Questions over alleged foreign involvement in the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led protests in the national capital intensified on Thursday, with BJP leaders claiming that external forces may
have played a role in the agitation and violence against the government. Meanwhile Delhi High Court has agreed to hear a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking an NIA probe into the violence and unrest during the July 20’s “Sansad Chalo” protest.
Union Minister of State for Education Sukanta Majumdar raised his concern and alleged that some groups were attempting to politicise the student protest. He further said that people have expressed doubts that outside interventions may have played a role.
“I don’t know the role of those commenting on this protest from Bangladesh or outside. However, people have expressed doubts that outside interventions may have played a role, which is subject to investigation. We know a very wealthy tycoon who has set aside a portion of his wealth to uproot Modi. So far, by the look of it, it seems those powers may have played a role,” Majumdar said.
BJP MP Nishikant Dubey also raised concerns over alleged foreign influence, referring to a statement attributed to Khalistani separatist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun offering financial support for the protests.
Calling it a “very serious matter”, Dubey alleged that Khalistani groups, Pakistan-based elements, forces from Bangladesh and organisations linked to George Soros were attempting to exploit the agitation to destabilise the country.
“Pannu’s statement saying that they will provide ₹10,000 crore for protest is a very serious matter. The foreign forces that are active against India- including Khalistani groups, Bangladesh Islamic Party forces, Pakistan-based forces, and groups associated with the Soros Foundation -are already operating in the country,” he said as quoted by news agency IANS.

Echoing similar allegations, Mumbai BJP president Ameet Satam claimed that the agitation was being coordinated through a “toolkit” and appealed to students not to fall for what he termed “false propaganda” by anti-India forces.
Delhi HC To Hear Plea Seeking NIA Probe
Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court agreed to urgently hear on Friday a PIL seeking a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into the violence and unrest during the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP)-led protest march to Parliament in the national capital earlier this week.
The petition alleged that the protest was not an isolated event but part of a broader conspiracy involving foreign-funded organisations and political elements, as reported by LiveLaw.
The plea was mentioned before a division bench comprising Chief Justice DK Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia by Advocate Barun Kumar Sinha. Seeking an urgent hearing, Sinha claimed that the protest had caused major disruptions in the national capital.
“Entire roads have been blocked. Citizens are suffering,” Sinha told the court, referring to the impact of the demonstration.
The petition has been filed by Satish Kumar Aggarwal, an ex-Vice President of the Akhil Bharat Hindu Mahasabha. According to the petitioner, what began as a protest over the NEET examination paper leak was allegedly transformed into a political agitation after participation by various political leaders.
“That it is pertinent to mention that, the so-called protest is not, in substance, a genuine protest by students or for student-related concerns. Rather, it appears to be a part of a larger conspiracy allegedly orchestrated by anti-national and foreign elements with the purported intention of destabilizing the country by exploiting financial influence and monetary resources,” the plea stated.
CJP Protest
Students from across the country and activists of Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), an online satirical collective, have been protesting at Jantar Mantar and others parts of Central Delhi demanding accountability for repeated examination paper leaks and also seeking resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
The protestors had planned to march to the parliament house on Monday but the Delhi Police intervened and prevented the same.
The protest witnessed clashes, tear gas shelling, allegations of excessive force by police, counter-allegations of violence by protesters, detentions, and widespread disruption across central Delhi.
Police said the crowd turned violent, leading to stone-pelting, attacks on police personnel and damage to public property. According to Delhi Police, 178 people were injured in the clashes, including 118 police personnel and around 60 protesters. On the other hand, the CJP claimed that police resorted to lathi-charge and tear gas against peaceful demonstrators, resulting in injuries to hundreds of protesters.
