Producer Ektaa Kapoor has shared an emotional review of Main Vaapas Aaunga ahead of its theatrical release on June 12. The film stars Vedang Raina, Sharvari, Diljit Dosanjh and Naseeruddin Shah in lead
roles. Ektaa said she was deeply affected by the film and even took an entire day to decide what to write about it because she did not want to “get a single word wrong.” Her post has now grabbed attention online, especially after she called Vedang the “surprise” element of the film. Ektaa Kapoor Calls The Film Emotional And Timeless Sharing her thoughts on Instagram on Sunday, May 24, Ektaa described the film as an emotional love story set during the Partition era. “All I want to say is: you have no idea what’s coming next! This movie is called Main Vaapas Aaunga, a love story set against the backdrop of the Partition. A film that beautifully shows how generations may think differently, live differently, and love differently… yet somehow it all leads back to the same thing: you have to fall in love! It’s emotional, timeless, and stays with you long after it ends.” Ektaa added that the film creates a rare feeling of nostalgia and reminds viewers of unfinished relationships and memories that stay forever. According to her, the story makes audiences think about “that one person they never got closure with,” the promises left incomplete, and the kind of love that existed before mobile phones and social media changed relationships. She said the film leaves behind a painful but memorable feeling of love rooted in patience, longing and emotion. Vedang Raina Gets Special Praise From Ektaa Kapoor While speaking about the cast, Ektaa had special praise for Vedang Raina and called his role an “outstanding breakout performance.” She revealed that she had watched his debut film The Archies earlier and had liked him even then. Talking about Diljit’s performance, she wrote that his emotions and inner conflict are visible through his eyes as he plays a man struggling to express himself and understand commitment. “@sharvari is absolutely beautiful on screen. Her eyes express every emotion with so much grace and honesty. She has such a strong presence, and she’s definitely someone we’ll look forward to seeing in many more films. @naseeruddin49 is simply an icon. Any words used to describe how good he is would honestly feel inadequate, because nothing truly does justice to the kind of actor he is,” added Ektaa.
