Rohit Sharma is playing in the Vijay Hazare Trophy these days. The world No. 1 ODI batter was in action for Mumbai on Wednesday (December 24) against Sikkim. During his team’s first Elite Group C match
of the tournament at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, Rohit played a superb knock to help Mumbai secure a big win by 8 wickets. He faced 94 balls during his stay at the crease in the run chase of 237 and, with the help of 18 fours and 9 sixes, slammed 155 runs. Rohit added 141 runs for the first wicket with Kolkata Knight Riders star Angkrish Raghuvanshi (38 from 58) and 85 runs for the second wicket with Musheer Khan, who remained unbeaten on 27 runs from 26 deliveries.
More than 10,000 fans were present at the SMS Stadium in Jaipur on Wednesday to watch Rohit and Mumbai play their group stage opener, and during the first half of the match, when Sikkim were batting and Rohit was doing fielding for the Shardul Thakur-led side, a fan offered vada pav to him.
In a video going viral on the internet, a fan from the stands can be heard asking Rohit if he wants to eat vada pav, and Rohit reacts to him by waving his hands and saying, ‘No.’
The clip of Rohit’s reaction is now going viral on the internet.

Rohit, who has been in red-hot form these days, needed just 27 balls to complete his half-century on Wednesday, and he reached the 100-run mark on the 62nd ball.
The 62-ball century by Rohit against Sikkim is his fastest century in List A cricket, and he now has two centuries in the Vijay Hazare Trophy to his credit.
Rohit slammed his first Vijay Hazare Trophy on April 4, 2008, against Tamil Nadu in Visakhapatnam.
In that fixture, Rohit came out to bat at No. 3 for the Amol Muzumdar-led side and scored 100 runs from 89 balls. He slammed 8 fours and 3 sixes in that quarterfinal match to help Mumbai secure a win by 59 runs.
Rohit, who scored two half-centuries in India’s three-match ODI series against South Africa earlier this month, will next be seen in action for Mumbai on Friday. In their second Elite Group C match of the Vijay Hazare Trophy, Mumbai will face Uttarakhand at Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
