Prime Video’s new psychological crime series Daldal is finally streaming and it features Bhumi Pednekar in one of her most powerful performances to date. The official teaser depicts a nightmare, where
the city is on edge following a spate of horrific killings. DCP Rita Ferreira of the Mumbai Crime Branch, represented by Bhumi Pednekar, is at the centre of the storm. As the show premieres today, Bhumi shared a snap from her visit to the Golden Temple and expressed what she felt while shooting for the role.
Bhumi wrote, “Sabr.Shukr Last year asked me to sit with myself. With doubt. With silence. With questions I didn’t have answers to yet. It asked me to unlearn fear and slowly, gently, learn how to love myself again. Somewhere between long days on set, fragile moments off it, prayers whispered to the universe, and stubborn faith in the work, I kept going. Not because I was fearless but because I still believed. Daldal comes from that place. From vulnerability. From trust. From choosing growth even when the path feels uncertain. Today, I offer this work to you with gratitude, humility, and an open heart. Ready for the love. Ready for the learning. Ready for whatever comes next. Please watch Daldal.”

Bhumi Pednekar On Playing A Cop
Earlier speaking about her character, Bhumi told Elle India, “Rita is a cop, but she’s extremely flawed, broken, complex, complicated. She has more shades of black than white, which isn’t how we usually see cops portrayed on screen. I got to play a hero while doing a lot of anti-hero things.”
Daldal – Plot and Cast
The plot revolves around Rita as she chases a horrific murderer while dealing with psychological trauma, personal guilt, and institutionalised bias in the police department. During her inquiry, she comes into Samara Tijori, a tenacious journalist. The investigation evolves into a high-stakes battle against the protagonist’s psychological problems as well as a vicious criminal. Daldal, directed by Amrit Raj Gupta and produced by Vikram Malhotra and Suresh Triveni, is based on Vish Dhamija’s best-selling book, Bhendi Bazaar. Suresh Triveni conceived the series, which was produced by Abundantia Entertainment. Along with Bhumi, Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, Rahul Bhat, Sandeep Kulkarni, and others play supporting parts.
