Veteran actor Dharmendar passed away last month on November 24, and his demise has left a void in the hearts of every cinema lover. Now, as his swan song, Ikkis is set for its release on January 1, and ahead
of the film’s theatrical release, Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol hosted a special screening on Monday, December 29. A who’s who of the industry came to pay their respects to the veteran star and watch the film. Dharmendra’s younger son Bobby, who attended the screening, paid an emotional tribute to his father by wearing his shirt as he went to attend the screening of his late father’s last film.
Bobby Deol wore a beautiful white shirt featuring leaves and plants printed on it. As pictures of him from the screening went viral, fans quickly spotted that this was a similar shirt that Dharmendra had worn in one of the videos he had posted on his social media. This touching tribute to his father has left social media emotional, with fans and users reacting to it and showering Bobby with love and praise.

Sriram Raghavan’s biographical war drama film Ikkis is based on the life of Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal and focuses on the Battle of Basantar during the 1971 India-Pakistan War. The film’s title marks the age at which he attained martyrdom.
The film is all set to release on January 1, 2026. While Agastya Nanda portrays Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal in Ikkis, Simar Bhatia will be seen as Kiran. This film marks late actor Dharmendra’s posthumous film appearance, and he plays Brigadier ML Khetarpal (Retd.), Arun Khetarpal’s father, in the movie. The cast also includes Jaideep Ahlawat, Shree Bishnoi, Suhasini Mulay, Sikander Kher, Rahul Dev, Vivaan Shah, and others.
