Cocktail 2’s Trailer To Release On May 29
As per an update shared with the media, the trailer of Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Kriti Sanon starrer will be released on May 29. The film is scheduled to release in cinemas on June 19, and ahead of it, fans have been waiting quite some time for the trailer of the rom-com. Mashooka features Shahid Kapoor romancing Kriti Sanon in Sicily, Italy, and other picturesque locations. Meanwhile, sung by Arijit Singh, Tujhko is a slow romantic track that focuses on Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna’s story.
Rashmika Mandanna and Kriti Sanon, in a light-hearted banter, were seen clashing over who was the producer’s favourite at ‘Cocktail 2’. The fun incident took place during the music launch of ‘Cocktail 2’, held at a popular hotspot in Mumbai on Sunday night, which was followed by a special media meet and greet session.
The light hearted moment began when Kriti Sanon jokingly welcomed everyone to “my song launch,” instantly sparking mock protests from Rashmika Mandanna. During the playful banter, Kriti jokingly said, “First of all, all of you, welcome to my song launch, guys.”

Cocktail 2, directed by Homi Adajania, is set to release on June 19, 2026, featuring a fresh cast led by Shahid Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, and Kriti Sanon. Cocktail 2 is positioned as a spiritual sequel to the 2012 hit Cocktail, which starred Saif Ali Khan, Deepika Padukone, and Diana Penty. The film has been shot across multiple locations, including Sicily in Italy and several places in Delhi and North India such as Chhatarpur, Gurugram, and South Delhi. The film is produced by Maddock Films and written by Luv Ranjan.
Recently, at Femina Beauty Awards, Kriti Sanon spoke about the comparisons between Cocktail and Cocktail 2. She said, “I’m sure a comparison is going to happen, but the good part is that this is not a sequel; it’s a franchise. So it’s more of a vibe franchise, and the characters are separate.” She also praised Rashmika Mandanna and said, “She’s just a very genuine person, kind, lovely, and warm.”
