Made on a reported budget of just Rs 2 crore, Hanuman Ansh has emerged as one of the surprise success stories of 2026. The devotional drama is witnessing a strong theatrical run. Even in its fifth week,
the film is refusing to slow down.
The film has collected Rs 132 crore nett in India in 32 days, turning its modest investment into a remarkable box-office success. Hanuman Ansh recorded a strong fifth weekend, collecting Rs 49.25 crore nett between Friday and Sunday. The film earned Rs 10 crore on its fifth Friday, followed by Rs 16.50 crore on Saturday and Rs 22.75 crore on Sunday.
By the end of Day 31, Hanuman Ansh had collected Rs 122.13 crore nett in India. It subsequently added another Rs 9.50 crore on Day 32, taking its total to approximately Rs 131.63 crore nett.
Recently, Dhurandhar director Aditya Dhar had also taken to Instagram to heap praises on Hanuman Ansh. Sharing a poster of the film, Aditya showed his love by adding Om, love and folded hands emojis. He tagged the movie’s director, Vishal Chaturvedi.
Earlier, Varun Dhawan had also shown his appreciation for Hanuman Ansh. He revealed that he had watched the film with his mother in a theatre. He wrote on Instagram, “Please go to the theatre and watch Hanuman Ansh. I just went with my mom, and it was an amazing experience. Take your parents, go with your friends. I highly recommend this film to everyone. No one had told me to make this video, neither had anyone called me; I just wanted to do this. I have had a connection with Lord Hanuman since childhood, but this is something else. This is a purely made film. I will not even call it a film; it’s something divine. You go and experience it.”
Hanuman Ansh was directed and produced by Vishal Chaturvedi under his banner Swambhu Media Network. The film is based on his book Divine Detour: That Changed My Life, which chronicles the life of Neem Karoli Baba. Shobhinaw Satyaa and Chandan Anand play the lead roles. The story follows Lakshmi Narayan, a young boy living in pre-Independence India who leaves home after his mother’s death in search of God. His journey across North India eventually leads to his transformation into Neem Karoli Baba.
