Sunrisers Hyderabad will face inaugural edition winners Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator match of IPL 2026 on Wednesday (May 27). The first knockout match of this year’s IPL is scheduled to take place
at Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh. The winner of the Eliminator match between SRH and RR will face the loser of Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2 on Friday (May 29) for a place in the final of IPL 2026.

SRH finished the IPL 2026 league stage with 18 points, the same as RCB and GT, but due to inferior Net Run Rate (NRR), they had to settle for a third-place finish. On the other hand, Rajasthan Royals defeated Mumbai Indians by 30 runs in their last league match to finish 4th in the points table with 16 points and take the fourth and final playoffs spot.
SRH faced Royals twice in the league stage of IPL 2026 and managed to secure a win in both fixtures. They would like to complete the hat trick on Wednesday and book a place in the IPL final for the second time in three years.
