The Game Of Thrones star Sophie Turner has heaped praises on the Bollywood superstars Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone. In a recent interview, Sophie expressed her admiration for the Indian film industry
and called SRK – GOAT (Greatest of All Time).
“My gosh, that’s tough! I mean, Shah Rukh Khan is the GOAT, right? But I love Deepika Padukone, I think she’s amazing. I loved watching RRR,” she told Firstpost.
“I’d actually love to be in a Bollywood movie. I’d love to do the dance. I think it’s such a spectacle and they’re so beautiful. The production design is so unlike anything I think we will ever see on a Western film set. I’d love to be in a Bollywood movie,” the actress added.
Sophie Turner hasn’t worked in any of the Indian films. She once visited India in 2018 for the wedding festivities of her former brother-in-law, Nick Jonas, with Priyanka Chopra.
Meanwhile, Sophie isn’t the first international celebrity to laud SRK. In 2013, Daniel Radcliffe, best known for playing Harry Potter, also praised the Bollywood star and said, “Shah Rukh Khan is really famous in Britain and I’m really fond of him. He is definitely an epitome of style and class!”
In another interview in 2011, Twilight actor Kristen Stewart also said, “Well, I am a big fan of Shah Rukh Khan, who is an epitome of romance in Bollywood. I would love to work with him in Bollywood movies too, and for that I am also looking forward to learning Hindi. I have also seen the promos of his latest movie Ra.One which are very impressive and I just loved his look in the movie. I’ll definitely watch the movie also. He is truly an inspiration to me. He is a charmer.”
Among others, Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hiddleston, John Cena, Hugh Jackman, Terry Crews and Lady Gaga have also praised Shah Rukh Khan in the past.
