Global stages, big names, and a celebration of influence… one of the year’s most high-profile cultural gatherings is gearing up once again. And this time, an Indian star is set to take centre stage in a big way.
Priyanka Chopra will be among the key honourees at the upcoming Gold Gala 2026, organised by Gold House. The annual event, now in its fifth edition, celebrates leading voices from the Asian Pacific and multicultural communities across industries, especially entertainment.
The gala is scheduled to take place on May 9, where Priyanka will receive the Global Vanguard Honor. She will be honoured alongside martial arts icon Jet Li, who will receive the Gold Legend Honor, and actor Simu Liu, who is set to be recognised with the Gold Mogul Honor. Other names on the honouree list include Charles Melton, Eileen Gu, and Revathi Advaithi.
Announcing the event on Instagram, Gold House shared, “What began as a community milestone has become the definitive worldwide Asian Pacific cultural convening—and this year, it goes even further.” The post further added, “Over 650 leaders across industries will gather to honor the 2026 #Gold100 List around this year’s theme: A New Gold World—a call to build shared abundance in an era increasingly defined by division.”
The evening will also feature a packed line-up. Comedian Bowen Yang is set to open the gala with a monologue, while actors Asif Ali, Saagar Shaikh, and Poorna Jagannathan will kick off the second half. Singer Hayley Kiyoko will perform, and speakers at the event include EJAE, Theresia Gouw, HUMAN MADE, Tejasvi Manoj, Jen Lee, and Brett Bolton.
Priyanka’s recognition comes amid her busy run in international projects. In 2025, she featured in Prime Video’s Heads of State and The Bluff, the latter of which she also produced. Over the years, she has built a strong Hollywood portfolio with films like Baywatch, The Matrix Resurrections, and Love Again.
Before her global shift, Priyanka had already carved out a successful career in Bollywood with films such as Aitraaz, Krrish, Dostana, Kaminey, 7 Khoon Maaf, Don, Agneepath, Barfi!, Dil Dhadakne Do, and Bajirao Mastani. After Jai Gangaajal in 2016, she transitioned to international projects and has since maintained a steady presence overseas.
Now, she is also set to return to Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli’s upcoming film Varanasi. The project will star Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran in key roles, with Priyanka playing a character named Mandakini. Early glimpses of the film have already generated buzz, showing her in a saree while handling a gun. The film is expected to release in 2027.
