With the 2026 edition of the Indian Premier League looming large on the horizon, the preparations of the teams set to vie for the coveted franchise league title have hit momentum. Rajasthan Royals, the winners
of the inaugural edition of the money-rich T20 league, seek to add another star to their jersey and put an end to a prolonged wait of over a decade and a half, with new blood enriching their ranks.
In a massive boost to RR’s title quest, former fan favourite Ravindra Jadeja, who was part of the Rajasthan side that lifted the title back in the year 2008, returns to the team’s ranks following his incredibly successful 12-year-stint with CSK.
Ahead of the tournament’s curtain raiser, Jadeja was seen bowling to RR starboy Vaibhav Sooryaanshi during a team training session, which has gone viral.

The teenager, who has taken Indian cricketing fraternity by storm with his swashbuckling performances for RR and India’s youth teams, was seen smashing the seasoned spinner all over the park.
Sooryavanshi, who led the India U19 side to the age category World Cup title with his astounding knock in the final of the event in Harare, was seen picking the veteran’s bowling apart as he appeared to smash every delivery of the Jaddu over that came his way, barring a single delivery, which seemed to have drifted just wide of the mark.
Jadeja, who has donned the famous yellow of Chennai in over 200 games, and is one of the most experienced players in the league, was traded to RR with ICC T20 World Cup 2026 hero Sanju Samson going the other way.
A lot will rest on the young man’s shoulders if Rajasthan are to reclaim the crown in the upcoming season of the T20 league title, which they haven’t won since Aussie legend Shane Warne led the Jaipur-based side to the pinnacle of the sport.
