Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari Plot: Has Varun Dhawan revealed the plot of his latest film with Janhvi Kapoor, Sanya Malhotra and Rohit Saraf? Fans have theorised that the film’s plot has been revealed,
based on a photo shared by Varun on Instagram recently. The actor announced the film’s wrap with a photo of the cast posing in themed T-shirts, which seemed to hit at the film’s story.
Varun Dhawan’s tee read, “Sunny. Loves Bantu, wants Bantu.” Janhvi Kapoor’s tee read, “Tulsi. Loves Sunny, wants Vikram.” Sanya Malhotra’s tee read, “Ananya. Loves Sunny, wants Vikram.” Rohit Saraf’s tee read, “Vikram. Loves Tulsi, wants Ananya.” Have a look here:
While it is unconfirmed whether the tees were a direct nod to the film’s plot, fans believe that they were hinting at a tussle between Janhvi Kapoor and Sanya Malhotra’s characters. Touted to be a complete family entertainer, the film is set to release on October 2, 2025, coinciding with Dussehra.
According to a report in Bollywood Hungama, producer Karan Johar and the team strategically chose the October 2 release date to capitalise on the festive window. A source revealed, “Producer Karan Johar and the whole team realised that this is the apt time to bring this romcom. This year, besides Gandhi Jayanti, Dussehra also falls on the same day. Hence, it’ll be a festive period and hopefully, it will face no other competition until Diwali. In other words, it will have a clean run for three weeks.”
However, the rom-com won’t have a completely solo release. With its new date, Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari is set for a box office clash with Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1 and the Harshvardhan Rane-starrer Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat.
Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari marks Varun Dhawan’s third collaboration with director Shashank Khaitan after the hit films Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017). Alongside Varun and Janhvi Kapoor, the film also features Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, Akshay Oberoi, and Maniesh Paul in pivotal roles.
