Kriti Sanon is gearing up for her next release, Cocktail 2, with Shahid Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna. The film is releasing on June 19. And ahead of the release, she has opened up about her character Ally.
She described it as one of the most unique and liberating roles of her career. The actress recently shared insights into the character, revealing why Ally stands out from the many memorable roles she has portrayed over the years.
Taking to her Instagram handle, Kriti Sanon shared a series of photos and also opened up on her character Ally in Cocktail 2. She thanked everyone for putting efforts. “With all the love flowing in for Ally’s looks, lets give credit where its due! The woman behind these stunning looks- @anaitashroffadajania !! Ally taught me that hot and beautiful aren’t an either/or! They are a collab.. Ally is probably the most liberated, free spirited, no judgement kinda character I’ve played.. Kriti Sanon Clarifies There Is ‘No Threesome, No Lesbian Story’
At a recent promotional event, Kriti Sanon said, “There is no lesbian story.” Rashmika Mandanna laughed and said, “But we do have that chemistry.” Kriti added, “There are three straight people, guys, relax. It’s an emotional film; there is no physical threesome.” Rashmika said, “Watch the film, guys. You will enjoy.”
Previously, some reports claimed that the film will feature Rashmika and Kriti as queer people. However, the Cocktail 2 cast and makers clarified that this speculation was not true. During the film’s trailer launch, Rashmika was asked about speculation linking her and Kriti as a couple. Responding to the question, Kriti suggested that the rumours seemed to be originating from a single source, a remark that Rashmika appeared to agree with.
