Typically, a man’s skincare is synonymous with a one-button control panel. It’s a single bar of soap that most rely on, using the product as a multi-purpose tool for face wash, body wash and shampoo. On
the contrary, women in general follow a thorough skincare routine featuring cleansers, serums, moisturisers and sunscreens like a step-by-step ritual.
Pop culture has, however, reinforced the idea that it is women, whether a friend, girlfriend or wife, who introduce men to the world of beauty products. With a similar thought in mind, actor-comedian Viraj Ghelani posted a hilarious video on Instagram, highlighting the comical difference.
Comedian Teaches Male Friend About Female Skincare
The clip opened to the comedian sitting with his male friend, comparing two different kinds of cleansers from the same brand. When the friend innocently asked Viraj, “Alag kya hai isme (what is the difference between the two)”, the comedian’s expert reply was, “1 mei hyaluronic acid hai aur dusre mei niacinamide hai (one contains hyaluronic acid and the other has niacinamide).” He then added that one cleanser has hydrating powers and the other creates a foaming effect. The friend still could not make out the difference, sitting absolutely confused.
The only contrast he could spot was that one cleanser was bigger in size than the other. Frustrated by his friend, Viraj made a ROFL statement. He said, “Shadi kiya kya? Nhi kiya na? Toh alag hai. Mereko bhi nhi malum. Mai bhi abhi abhi sikh raha huun. (Did you marry? No, right? Then just accept that both are different. I also don’t know. I have only been learning recently),” hinting that it was the woman in his life who had been teaching him about the variation.
The video ended on a fun note with the friend pointing out, “Colour alag hai (The colour is different),” indicating that he still had no clue what set the two cleansers apart. The side note read, “Sab kuch same toh hota hai! (Everything is the same).”

“One is a hydrating cleanser for normal, dry, sensitive skin and the other is a foaming cleanser for oily combination skin,” clarified a user. “This is soooo funnyyy,” commented another. “Boys using sabunn (soap) are talking about face wash,” joked an individual.
