Ramayana has been released and has been receiving rave reviews ever since, but Salman Khan thinks that many people are focused on the film’s budget and are discussing VFX, which is not right. During the trailer
launch of his upcoming film Maatrubhumi, Khan spoke about the year’s biggest release, Ramayana, and shared how people should shift the focus of the discussion to its story and not the VFX and visuals.
Speaking at the event hosted in Mumbai, Salman Khan shared, “I just think Ramayana ka charcha Ramayana pe hona chahiye na ki VFX and cost of production par. I think this narrative ki 4000 (budget of Ramayana) aur VFX, VFX, VFX. I just don’t think ki that is correct.” He further added, “I just think ki Ramayana ka charcha Ramayana ke upar hi hona chahiye – Ram, Ravana, Sita.”
About Ramayana Box Office
With an impressive opening-day collection of Rs 64.85 crore nett in India, Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Ramayana has surpassed the first-day numbers of several major Bollywood releases, including Pathaan and Animal. The film has secured the second-biggest Bollywood opening of 2026 so far, trailing only Dhurandhar: The Revenge.
Ramayana Review
Ramayana’s collection is expected to witness a boost after Diwali, and expectations are still quite high. Meanwhile, News18 gave the film 3/5 stars. Our review read, “The film is visually beautiful, and the VFX deserve immense appreciation. The makers have clearly invested heavily in bringing this mythological world to life, and several frames are genuinely breathtaking. The scale and visual treatment make it a cinematic experience worth watching on the big screen.”
