Bengaluru is set to experience power cuts across various areas for 17 days starting January 3 due to scheduled maintenance at a significant power substation. The power outage will occur from 10 AM to 5
PM as maintenance is carried out on the 31.5 MVA Power Transformer 3 at the 220/66/11 kV IPIP substation.
This will affect several IT parks, commercial establishments, industrial zones, and nearby residential areas, leading to temporary and intermittent power interruptions. The IPIP industrial area and its surroundings will also be impacted.

Bengaluru Power Cut Timing
The scheduled power cuts are expected to last from 10 AM to 5 PM, depending on the completion of the maintenance work. BESCOM has stated that if the work is completed earlier than anticipated, the power supply will be restored sooner.
