Road safety is often discussed after accidents happen, but small preventive steps rarely get attention. In busy Indian cities, broken or unmarked road dividers can become dangerous, especially at night.
One man in Hyderabad decided not to wait for authorities to act. Instead, he stepped onto the roads himself to fix a problem many commuters face daily.
His simple effort, captured on video, has now drawn attention online and sparked conversations around responsibility and public safety.
Hyderabad Man Adds Reflectors on Flyover
The video was shared on X (formerly Twitter) and shows a man working quietly on the Malakpet New Flyover in Hyderabad. He is seen standing near a concrete road divider, carefully wiping its surface with a cloth. After cleaning it, he sticks bright reflective markers onto the divider so it becomes clearly visible to motorists, especially after dark.
In the clip, traffic continues to move around him. Bikes pass by, cars slow down briefly, and a few people stop to watch what he is doing. Most, however, simply ride past as he continues his work without any fuss. The divider, once dull and hard to notice, slowly becomes easier to spot because of the reflectors he adds.
Does He Stop After One Divider?
No. The video then shows the man moving to another stretch of road. This time, the divider looks more damaged and worn out. He repeats the same process, cleaning the surface and carefully fixing multiple reflectors along the pole so the entire divider becomes visible from a distance.

Traffic Cop Joins Man In Safety Effort
Another video featuring the same man is also gaining attention online. This clip is from Marredpally Circle in Hyderabad. Here, he is seen working alongside a traffic police officer. Using a metal rod, they first turn a heavy cement barricade into position. Once it is properly placed, the man wipes it clean and adds reflective strips to it.
The presence of the traffic police adds weight to the moment, showing cooperation rather than conflict. Vehicles continue to pass by while the two focus on making the divider safer for everyone on the road.
