Mumbai’s relentless monsoon has left several parts of the city under water, and even Amitabh Bachchan’s iconic home, Jalsa, hasn’t escaped the heavy rain. Videos showing water entering the megastar’s Juhu
residence and severe waterlogging outside the property have gone viral on social media, drawing widespread attention online.
The clips, shared by several social media users, show rainwater accumulating outside Jalsa, with blocked drains adding to the flooding around the residence. Some videos also appear to show water entering the compound as Mumbai continued to receive heavy rainfall over the weekend.
Videos From Outside Jalsa Go Viral
As the visuals spread online, fans reacted to the flooding outside one of Mumbai’s most well-known celebrity homes. The videos went viral as people across the city continued sharing visuals of flooded roads, waterlogged neighbourhoods and traffic disruptions caused by the monsoon showers.
Amitabh Bachchan Hasn’t Reacted To The Videos
Amitabh Bachchan has not commented on the viral clips or the flooding outside his residence.
However, the veteran actor did share a fresh post on his personal blog, where he wrote about the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026 instead of the heavy rains in Mumbai.
Reflecting on the tournament, he wrote, “The timings for the WC 2026 for India viewing are late .. very late .. very very late .. but sincere followers ‘burn the candle at both ends’ as does yours truly .. much to the annoyance of .. well .. what really is getting attractive for this WC 2026 is that most of the expected Winners are gradually getting knocked out and the lesser known, progress with aplomb ..how wonderful to see this. To be trodden upon, be tarnished, be degraded, pushed aside as non-entities.. and then .. TO RISE, TO FLOURISH, TO EXCEL, to stand up with them that had looked down upon you .. that is challenge and grit .. BUT NEVER to be ‘telling off’ them that did to you what was demeaning, is the nature of greatness, humility and character.”
While the actor did not mention the flooding, his latest blog reflected on the determination shown by underdog teams at the World Cup and the values of resilience and humility.
