Washing and Cleaning
Dry cleaning is the safest method to protect the saree’s zari and embroidery. Always entrust your Chanderi saree to professionals experienced with heritage fabrics. For minor stains, avoid washing the entire saree. Instead, gently dab the area with a cotton pad soaked in cold water, adding a small amount of mild detergent if necessary. Avoid rubbing to prevent colour loss or damage to the weave.
Rinsing and Drying
If detergent is used, rinse the saree gently in cold water to remove soap completely. Avoid twisting or wringing the fabric. Do not expose the saree to direct sunlight, as it can fade colours and weaken threads. Instead, dry it in a shaded, well-ventilated area or hang it on a padded hanger.
Ironing and Folding
