Ranbir Kapoor fans might want to watch his latest interview closely! The actor has been sharing updates about his much-awaited film Ramayana, but something he said recently has left fans wondering if there
could be more to the story than just two films.
Ranbir will play Lord Ram in Ramayana: Rise Of A Legend. The film also stars Sai Pallavi as Sita and Yash as Ravana. Made on a whopping budget of Rs 4,000 crore, the mythological epic is one of the biggest Indian films ever planned.
In a recent conversation with Review Nation, Ranbir spoke about working on the film and shared an exciting update about the sequel. He revealed that he has already completed half of his work on the second part. But it was his next comment that really got fans curious.
Ranbir said, “I have finished 50 percent of part two already. We are in the process of already shooting it. Even when we finished part two or part three, if there is one. I don’t think this will ever leave us. This is an opportunity of a lifetime, irrespective of what the result is. It is not career-defining but life-defining.”

The mention of a possible third part was enough to get fans talking. Some were thrilled at the thought of watching the epic unfold across three films, while others joked that Ranbir might have accidentally revealed something he wasn’t supposed to! One user wrote, “Ranbir yhe spoiler Kapoor is back.” Another commented, “But they could easily have trimmed that specific part but I wonder they didn’t.”
Another fan compared Ranbir to Hollywood actor Tom Holland, who is known for accidentally giving away spoilers, and wrote, “Tom Holland of Bollywood.”

Interestingly, producer Namit Malhotra had also spoken about the possibility of a third film at the recent Los Angeles premiere of Ramayana. He revealed that the makers had initially thought of telling the story in three parts. However, they later changed their plans and decided to make it a two-part franchise.
That said, Namit has not completely ruled out the possibility of adding more to the story in the future. Speaking to the international media, he said, “I’m not going to give any spoilers for anything – but you know, who knows the way, once we get all the response and all the feedback, we may sit back on the table and the drawing board and see if there is anything else that we want to add or subtract, depending on how the world has received it.”
The first part of Ramayana is set to release in theatres worldwide on November 5, 2026, ahead of Diwali. The second part is scheduled for a Diwali 2027 release.
