Ravindra Jadeja made his international debut for India in February 2009 following an impressive IPL 2008 campaign with Rajasthan Royals. Since then, he has represented the Men in Blue in all three formats
and enjoyed a distinguished international career spanning more than 17 years.
During his career, Jadeja has shared the dressing room with several legends of the game, including Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, MS Dhoni, Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Virender Sehwag and VVS Laxman. In the IPL, he has also played alongside the likes of Shane Warne, Shane Watson, Brendon McCullum, Michael Hussey, Ben Stokes, Mahela Jayawardene and Faf du Plessis, among many others.
However, in a recent video shared by Rajasthan Royals on their social media handles, Jadeja was asked to name one batter he would choose to bat for his life. Without hesitation, he picked former India captain MS Dhoni.

Jadeja played more than 100 international matches for India and over 100 IPL matches for Chennai Super Kings under Dhoni’s captaincy. The duo also share a close bond off the field.
Jadeja served as Dhoni’s deputy at CSK for a few seasons before succeeding him as the franchise’s captain ahead of IPL 2022.
When asked about his favourite memory in Indian cricket, Jadeja recalled receiving his maiden Test cap from Sachin Tendulkar.
More than three years after making his ODI and T20I debuts for India, Jadeja made his Test debut against England at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on December 13, 2012. On his Test debut, he picked up two wickets in the first innings and one in the second, while also scoring 12 runs batting at No. 7 in the first innings.
“My all-time favourite moment would be when I got my Test cap from Sachin Tendulkar in 2012. That will be my lifetime favourite because becoming a Test player is a big thing. That will always be special for me,” Jadeja said.

He also picked India’s victory over England in the 2013 Champions Trophy final as his favourite trophy-winning moment, having won the Player of the Match award in that match.
“Personally, I think the 2013 Champions Trophy final. It was interesting, and I was the Man of the Match.”
