Prabhas is steadily progressing with his upcoming period action drama Fauzi, directed by Hanu Raghavapudi. The film, which has already generated buzz among fans, is now nearing completion with a major
portion of its shoot wrapped up. Recently, it was updated that the release is on track.
123 Telugu quoted Mythri Movie Makers’ CEO, Cherry, saying that the action drama is done with 80% of its shoot. Except for three action blocks featuring Prabhas, the movie is done with its production, says Cherry. According to him, the film is still on track for an October release. If this truly happens, it will be a feast for Prabhas fans as they may witness their star on the big screen for two times in a calendar year.
Makers Urge Fans Not To Share Leaked Content
Recently, a few unexpected glimpses from the sets went viral and the makers are clearly not amused. The team behind the upcoming Telugu film recently addressed the situation after several images from the shoot were circulated across social media platforms. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the makers issued a firm warning, urging users to stop sharing the leaked visuals.
“It has come to our attention that certain accounts are circulating leaked images from the sets of #Fauzi. Please treat this as a strict warning – any such content will be reported, and necessary action will be taken against those involved,” the official handle posted. The statement further stressed that such leaks could impact the film’s overall experience for audiences. “These leaks compromise the experience we are carefully building. What’s coming on the big screen will be far bigger and worth the wait. We urge everyone to refrain from sharing or engaging with leaked content,” the makers added.
Director Hanu Raghavapudi also weighed in on the issue, appealing directly to fans to respect the team’s efforts. “We’ve poured our hearts into #Fauzi to give you something truly special. Humbly requesting everyone, please don’t spoil the magic with leaks. Let’s experience it the way it’s meant to be… together in theatres (sic),” he wrote.
About the film
Fauzi, starring Prabhas and Imanvi, is among the most anticipated films in Telugu cinema. The project also features veteran actors Mithun Chakraborty and Jaya Prada in key roles. While an official release date has not yet been confirmed, reports suggest the film is being eyed for a Dussehra release this year.
Prabhas, who was last seen in The RajaSaab, has a packed slate ahead. The actor is set to appear in several high-profile projects, including the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, Salaar Part 2, and Spirit. Among these, Spirit, co-starring Triptii Dimri, is currently scheduled to release in theatres on March 5, 2027.
