Two days before release, Border 2 has already made its intent clear. The war drama is seeing strong advance booking across the country, with numbers climbing by the hour and shows being added rapidly as demand
grows. For exhibitors and trade watchers, the signs point to a solid opening, even before the first ticket counter opens on release day. The buzz around Border 2 has been steady for weeks, but its pre-release performance has now pushed it into the spotlight. Tickets selling fast across India Advance booking for Border 2 opened on Monday morning and crossed one lakh tickets within 48 hours, according to trade sources. By Wednesday morning, the film had sold around 1,08,441 tickets across India, with sales picking up as release day nears. Trade tracker Sacnilk says the film has already earned Rs 3.48 crore in opening-day advance bookings. With Dolby Cinema shows opening over the next two days, this number is expected to grow faster. On BookMyShow, Border 2 is currently selling about 3,000 tickets every hour, with demand rising steadily. The film has opened in nearly 9,000 shows nationwide, and more screens are being added based on demand. Both multiplexes and single screens seem confident, especially in mass centres. At this stage, Border 2 is ahead of several recent releases in advance booking. How it compares to recent releases At the same point before release, Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, had clocked around Rs 2.5 crore in day-one advance bookings. Dhurandhar later opened at Rs 28 crore net in India. With Border 2 moving ahead at a quicker pace, trade circles see this as a positive indicator for a strong opening day, especially given the genre and release timing.
