With the completion of 12 years of the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government at the Centre, Union Home Minister Amit Shah noted how the country’s economy witnessed a significant transition from “fragile
five to top five“.
Addressing the inauguration ceremony of the Land Port Management System ‘Vinimay’ in New Delhi,
Shah said, “Because of PM Modi, we have travelled from fragile five to top five (in terms of economy).”The minister recalled his experience with the Prime Minister and praised his approach to governance. “First as BJP president and then as Home Minister, I’ve been associated with PM Modi”.
“Efforts were also made previously to ensure water, pucca house, and toilet for every Indian. But PM Modi’s approach to governance stood out”, he said, assuring no Indian would be left without a pucca house in the upcoming two years.
‘A New Record’
Amit Shah, a BJP stalwart, highlighted that Prime Minister Modi was set to surpass the duration spent by Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru — India’s first Prime Minister — in office.
“PM Modi is to set a new record and cross the duration spent by Nehru in office”, Shah said.
The minister hailed PM Modi’s governance, saying “politics of performance” was introduced by him. “Women-led development was his idea. Today women stand shoulder to shoulder at India’s borders”, he added.

As PM Narendra Modi completed 12 years in office on Tuesday, he underlined the achievements of his government under his leadership.

“12 years of trust, development and public welfare,” PM Modi wrote in a post on ‘X’, sharing data on key initiatives introduced by the BJP-led NDA government.
