Sajid Nadiadwala had officially announced the release date of the upcoming project, O’ Romeo. Vishal Bharadwaj directs the high-octane action thriller, which stars Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, and Nana
Patekar. It will be released in theatres on February 14, next year. While much details about the same is under wraps, in the latest, Shahid himself shared an update.
In a video note shared on Instagram, Shahid Kapoor said, “It’s my fourth collaboration with probably the most prolific filmmaker that I have worked with.” Speaking about the film, he said, it is a “love story with a lot of action.”

O’ Romeo is Sajid Nadiadwala and Vishal Bhardwaj’s debut collaboration. Nadiadwala Grandson had shared the first look at the flim on its social media accounts. A man was seen wearing a cowboy hat and concealing his face with a tattooed hand. The film, which will be released in theatres on February 14, stars Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar, Avinash Tiwary, and Farida Jalal in prominent parts, with Disha Patani making a special appearance. Vishal Bhardwaj and Shahid have previously worked together on Kaminey (2009), Haider (2014), and Rangoon (2017).
O’ Romeo is Triptii’s debut collaboration with Vishal and Shahid. O’ Romeo is expected to be a visually stunning action thriller that combines strong drama, scenic scenery, and emotional storytelling. Though centred in action, the title and Valentine’s Day release imply a romantic core.
Vishal, who most recently directed the 2023 short film Fursat has continued to experiment with genres, ranging from Shakespearean dramas to edgy thrillers. O’ Romeo makes his return to large-scale commercial production, and fans are excited to see what this reunion brings.
Shahid Kapoor’s Latest Work
Shahid Kapoor last appeared in Deva, an action thriller released earlier this year. The film, directed by Rosshan Andrrews, followed a tough detective who had a behavioural transformation after losing his memory in an accident. In addition to Shahid Kapoor, the film starred Pooja Hegde and Pavail Gulati in prominent roles.
