Hours after Akshay Kumar’s security car met with an accident, the Juhu Police Station in Mumbai has now arrested the driver of the speeding vehicle. As reported by the news agency ANI, the driver has been
charged with being reckless and negligent. The accused has been identified as Radheshyam Rai and has been charged under sections 281, 125(A), and 125(B) of the BNS. More details about the incident are awaited.
What Happened With Akshay Kumar’s Security Car?
On Monday night, Akshay Kumar’s security vehicle was involved in a serious road accident in Juhu after a chain collision. As per the Mumbai Police, two people got injured following a collision between two cars and an auto rickshaw. The incident reportedly took place after a car hit an auto-rickshaw from behind, causing it to overturn and ram into Akshay’s escort vehicle. Several videos from the accident site have also surfaced on social media.
Talking about the incident, Mohammed Sameer, the driver’s brother, told ANI, “This incident happened around 8 to 8.30 pm. My brother was driving the rickshaw with a passenger present in the backseat when actor Akshay Kumar’s Innova and a Mercedes were behind them. When the Mercedes hit the Innova, the Innova crashed into the rickshaw. As a result, my brother and the passenger were trapped under it. The entire rickshaw was destroyed, and my brother is in a very serious condition.”
Akshay Was Returning From Anniversary Trip Abroad
The accident happened just hours after Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna returned to Mumbai from a special trip abroad, celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. The couple had shared moments from their vacation on social media, receiving love and admiration from fans.
However, it should be noted that neither Akshay nor Twinkle has reacted to the incident as of now.
