PM Hopes For Stronger India-US Ties
PM Modi further expressed hope that the next 250 years would bring greater prosperity, peace and progress for the US while boosting the partnership between the two nations.
“May the next 250 years bring even greater prosperity, peace and progress for America and take the India-US partnership to new heights,” he further wrote.
US Marks 250 Years Of Independence
President Donald Trump is expected to lead the Independence Day celebrations in Washington, DC, where he will deliver a speech on the National Mall before a major fireworks display, the AP reported.
Across the United States, people will mark the holiday with parades, fireworks and community events. Philadelphia, where the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776, has planned free cupcakes and a six-hour pop concert, while New York City will host tall ships from several countries as part of its celebrations, according to a report in Reuters.
In Washington, Trump is set to take centre stage during the national festivities. He has described the event as “the most spectacular TRUMP RALLY of them all,” featuring military flyovers and an expanded fireworks show.
The annual Independence Day celebration in the US capital is expected to attract hundreds of thousands of visitors, who may face tighter security, possible thunderstorms and temperatures nearing 100°F (38°C).
Unlike many previous US presidents, who generally kept a lower profile during Independence Day events, Trump has often combined the official celebrations with his signature campaign-style public appearances.
