The US and Iran continued their exchange of attacks for the sixth straight night, with American forces expanding strikes on Iranian infrastructure, including bridges, a train station and an airport. Iranian state
television reported that strikes on road and railway infrastructure in Hormozgan province killed at least seven people.

The strikes came after President Donald Trump warned that Washington would target infrastructure to pressure Tehran into easing its control over the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran responded with missile and drone attacks targeting US military positions and allied countries in the Middle East. Tehran targeted US bases in neighbouring nations, including a recently expanded air base in Jordan. In Qatar, authorities urged people to take shelter after a barrage of Iranian missiles targeted the country.
Qatar has been involved as a mediator with Pakistan in efforts to end the Iran war, but talks have stalled over Iran’s control of the Strait of Hormuz. Iran had earlier targeted Bahrain and Kuwait after US strikes hit bridges in the country.
US Strikes On Iran
US strikes hit several southern coastal cities and islands in Iran, including Ahvaz, Qeshm, Bushehr, Dashti, Bostan, Sirik and Bandar-e-Lengeh, with reports of wider infrastructure damage compared with previous nights.
In Bandar-e-Khamir, three bridges near the city were hit, while the Tapeh Allah Akbar neighbourhood in Bandar Abbas was also targeted. An airport in Iranshahr was also attacked, damaging the facility and causing power outages. Strikes were also reported on Kish Island, where some areas witnessed temporary power disruptions, according to an Al Jazeera report.
The US military’s Central Command (CENTCOM) said its latest strikes, which ended at dawn on Friday, targeted dozens of Iranian military sites.
“US forces, including fighter jets, aerial drones, and warships, launched precision munitions that hit dozens of Iranian military targets such as coastal surveillance and air defence sites, military logistics infrastructure, and maritime capabilities,” CENTCOM said.
“More than 50,000 US service members are operating across the Middle East and remain vigilant, lethal, and ready,” it added.
Iran-US War
The interim ceasefire agreed between Tehran and Washington last month has collapsed, with both sides carrying out repeated attacks as they battle for control of the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian officials said US strikes have killed more than 40 people and injured over 300 others, with additional casualties reported in Friday’s attacks.
The conflict began after the US and Israel launched strikes on Iran on February 28, following which Tehran effectively shut the Strait of Hormuz to shipping traffic. The move sent oil prices higher and gave Iran leverage in negotiations.
In a primetime address, Trump said the war was progressing in America’s favour.
“We are likewise winning big in Iran, and you will see the fruits of that labour very, very shortly,” Trump said.
Col Ebrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for Iran’s Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters, warned that Tehran could target infrastructure across the region if the US carried out Trump’s threats to strike Iranian bridges and power plants.
“Under no circumstances and in no way will we allow America, as a foreign and extraregional country, to interfere in the Strait of Hormuz,” he said. “This is Iran’s invincible red line.”
