Border 2, starringSunny Deol, has marked a strong start on the Republic Day weekend. The sequel to the war drama Border has seen a tremendous response from audiences, with post-midnight shows being added
as late as 3 am to counter the demand. The cast of the drama has been getting rave reviews for their performance as well.
While Sunny Deol’s screen presence left everyone impressed, actor Ahan Shetty also managed to hold his own in the movie. Interestingly, Ahan’s father, Suniel Shetty, played a pivotal role in the original 1997 film. One of the people praising Ahan’s performance was director and writer Milap Zaveri. Posting an Instagram video from a war sequence featuring Ahan Shetty, Zaveri lauded the actor’s impactful screen presence.

In a separate post, Milap Zaveri praised the cast and crew for Border 2, calling the period war drama a “blockbuster.” He also singled out Sunny Deol, Sonam Bajwa, Ahan Shetty, Diljit Dosanjh and Varun Dhawan’s performances. Writing about Ahan, Milap Zaveri called the actor “brilliant.” “He stands tall and powerfully amongst the stalwarts! Mark my words he is going to rise to great heights and make his father,” the director added.

Border 2’s Solid Box Office Opening
Border 2 stars Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Mona Singh and Ahan Shetty in lead roles. The film was released in theatres on January 23 and made a strong start at the box office, collecting Rs 30 crore on its opening day. The film’s patriotic tone and large-scale action have resonated with audiences.

Ahan Shetty recently attended a special screening of the film along with his parents, Suniel and Mana Shetty. His sister, Athiya Shetty, and her husband, Indian cricketer KL Rahul, were also present. Actors Sunny Deol and Varun Dhawan marked their attendance at the screening.
