Kajol and Ajay Devgn’s daughter, Nysa Devgan, has a huge fan following, and her pictures and videos often go viral on social media. Although she keeps her life private, she often features on pap accounts
and the feeds of her famous friends. As such, there is a lot of chatter about the possibility of her foray into Bollywood. While Kajol and Ajay have often mentioned that their daughter has no interest in acting, Karan Johar has an interest in launching her.
In a chat with Shubhankar Mishra, Kajol was asked if her children were being approached for films, given her friendship with big names in Bollywood like Karan Johar. Kajol said, “1-2 phone aaye hain (I have gotten a couple of calls).”
She added, “But, I think, currently, my daughter is definitely not coming into movies, and if she wants to do whatever she wants to do, she will tell us, and we are with her 100 per cent, whatever she wants to do.”
Previously, at News18’s Rising Bharat Summit 2025, Kajol addressed speculation regarding her daughter’s entry into the film industry. Talking at the Summit, the Do Patti actress said, “Bilkul nai..no, I think..vo 22 saal ki ho gaye hai..hone wali hai abhi.. I think she has made up her mind that ki nai aane wali hai abhi.”
During an episode of Koffee with Karan 8, Ajay Devgn also put all speculation to rest. Ajay Devgn said that his daughter Nysa has no plans of venturing into the film industry. “Right now, she doesn’t want to be (an actor). I don’t think she wants to be, but tomorrow if something changes, they will run a 20-year-old interview that Ajay Devgn said this, but right now, there is zero per cent chance,” he said.
However, Karan Johar is not the only one who wanted to see Nysa in a film. Earlier this year, fashion designer Manish Malhotra shared some stunning photos of her in a gorgeous lehenga. The post quickly garnered attention, not just for the beautiful pictures of Nysa, but also for Manish’s intriguing caption.
Part of Manish’s caption read, “Nysa Cinema Awaits you.” His caption made fans wonder whether Nysa will make her Bollywood debut soon. Kajol reacted to the post and dropped red heart emojis. Meanwhile, Nysa’s friend Orry wrote, “Can’t wait for your debut @nysadevgan,” along with heart-eyed emojis. Nysa is a regular feature on Orry’s Instagram feed.
