US President Donald Trump on Sunday issued a stark warning to Iran, saying there would be nothing left of the country if it does not accept the latest US peace proposal aimed at ending the war.
“For Iran,
the Clock is Ticking, and they better get moving, FAST, or there won’t be anything left of them. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE!” he wrote in a post on Truth Social.
The warning came shortly after Trump spoke with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, during which the leaders reportedly discussed the war in Iran. The conflict began after the US and Israel jointly carried out military strikes in Iran on February 28.
However, since April 8, the US and Iran have maintained a fragile ceasefire, while efforts to negotiate a peace deal have stalled.
