In the ongoing war with Iran, the United States military has launched more than 850 Tomahawk cruise missiles in just four weeks. Usage of these precision weapons at this pace has alarmed some Pentagon
officials and they are discussing how to get more, according to a report by Washington Post.
According to a report by The Financial Times, US has used “years” worth of key munitions. The report further cited a source who described the massive use Tomahawks as a huge toll on finances and “the navy will be feeling this expenditure for several years.”

According to its manufacturer Raytheon, the Tomahawk cruise missile is a precision-guided weapon that can be launched from ships, submarines, or ground-based launchers and is capable of accurately striking targets up to 1,000 miles away, even in heavily defended airspace.
U.S. and Allied forces have conducted more than 550 flight tests of the GPS-guided Tomahawk and have employed it over 2,350 times in real-world operations.
