Shantanu Maheshwari On Love In Vietnam
Earlier in a conversation with Zoom, Shantanu Maheshwari urged fans to give a film a fair chance. He said, “It is very important for us when everyone is saying they are looking for fresh faces. We have got this opportunity, and we consider ourselves fresh faces. We just want people to come to the theatre, watch, and make their judgment rather than have preconceived notions based on our past work or personal biases.”
Love In Vietnam- Plot and Cast
The film tells the story of Manav, a young man from Punjab who travels to Vietnam to learn farming and becomes captivated by a painting of a Vietnamese girl named Linh. Their romance is cut short when Linh disappears, forcing Manav to embark on a torturous search for her, while his childhood friend and admirer, Simmi, waits for him. The film, based on a Turkish novel, follows Manav’s compulsive search for Linh, culminating in his decision between her and Simmi.
To bring disparate cultures together, Love in Vietnam offers emotional depth, spectacular graphics, and youthful vitality. Along with Shantanu Maheshwari and Avneet Kaur, the film boasts an impressive ensemble cast that includes Gulshan Grover, Raj Babbar, and legendary actress Farida Jalal. Love In Vietnam, starring Vietnamese actress Kha Ngan in a major role, is already making history. It has become the first Indian film to be released on 10,000 screens in China.
