Parineeti Chopra and Raghav Chadha may have only tied the knot in September 2023, but their bond goes way back. The couple, who have now been together for two years, recently made an endearing joint appearance
on The Great Indian Kapil Show, where they opened up about their relationship, domestic life, and who really wears the financial pants in the house.
While introducing the duo, Kapil Sharma cheekily reminded the audience that Raghav is not just a politician but also a qualified Chartered Accountant. So naturally, the question arose—who manages the finances in the Chopra-Chadha household?
With a smile, Raghav quickly turned the spotlight onto his wife. “Her job pays her well, mine doesn’t,” he quipped. “She is both the Finance and Home Minister of our house.”
The politician’s candid confession drew laughs from the crowd and even more admiration for Parineeti, who has long balanced intelligence with glamour. For those unaware, the actress holds a triple honours degree in business, finance, and economics from Manchester Business School in England. Meanwhile, Raghav is a Delhi University graduate who later pursued his Chartered Accountancy from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
Their love story began in London at a casual event. Sparks flew, and soon after, Parineeti found herself going on a date with the politician. She later confessed that she Googled everything about him—age, height, marital status—before deciding he was the one.
Parineeti Chopra made her Bollywood debut with Ladies vs Ricky Bahl in 2011 and quickly made a mark with her supporting role alongside Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma. Her breakout as a lead came with Ishaqzaade, opposite Arjun Kapoor. Over the years, she’s carved a niche with films like Hasee Toh Phasee, Shuddh Desi Romance, Daawat-e-Ishq, Kesari, Sandeep Aur Pinky Faraar, and Saina. Her most recent outing was in Imtiaz Ali’s Amar Singh Chamkila (2024), where she starred opposite Diljit Dosanjh.
Whether it’s managing a movie set or the monthly budget at home, it seems Parineeti Chopra is truly the boss in both worlds—and Raghav Chadha wouldn’t have it any other way.
