In less than 24 hours from now, the final episode of Stranger Things season 5 will be released in India and across the world. While fans eagerly await to know what will happen in the final episode, the show’s
Executive Producer and director, Shawn Levy, has now revealed key details.
In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Shawn Levy said, “You will get an even deeper understanding of Henry Creel and Vecna. You will get outcomes.” He further called episode 8 of season 5 a “masterpiece” and shared that fans can expect “outcomes that are deeply satisfying, but many of which are completely surprising.”
“It is both informationally satisfying, but most importantly, profoundly emotionally satisfying. I just want to assure all of the people around the world who have walked the long road with us for nearly a decade, this finale is what you’ve been waiting for,” the filmmaker added.
Titled The Rightside Up, the finale is the eighth episode of the show’s fifth and final season. Netflix released the season in two parts, debuting the first four episodes on Thanksgiving Day as Stranger Things 5: Volume 1, followed by three more episodes on Christmas under Volume 2.
As panic spreads, the group devises a dangerous mission to enter the Abyss, rescue Vecna’s kidnapped children and destroy the dimension using a bomb. The closing moments show Vecna, still disguised as Henry Creel, leading his brainwashed victims in a chilling séance as they are transported into the Abyss, setting up a final confrontation with Eleven.
The final volume of Stranger Things Season 5 will be released on Wednesday, December 31, for fans in the US and other countries. In India, viewers can catch Volume 3 from January 1, 2026 at 6:30 am on Netflix. The last instalment is expected to run for over two hours, giving fans an extended dose of suspense, action and emotional moments.
