Rail services between Pezinok and Bratislava have been halted, with ZSSK warning of significant delays and potential closures in the affected area. Engineers and emergency teams have been dispatched to assist passengers and evaluate the damage to the infrastructure.
“Emergency services are responding at the scene of the accident, and several injuries have been reported. ZSSK is currently working closely with state-run railway-infrastructure operator ZSR, the police, and emergency services,” the ZSSK communications department said in a statement quoted by TASR.

The company emphasised that the safety of passengers and employees is an absolute priority, adding that further details would be provided as the inquiry progressed.
