It was a full-on cricket night in Mumbai, and like many fans, Kareena Kapoor decided to soak in the stadium energy with her family. But amid the cheers, jerseys, and match-day excitement, a brief moment
from the outing ended up catching more attention than the game itself.
The actor was seen at the iconic Wankhede Stadium on Sunday evening, where she attended the IPL clash between Mumbai Indians and Royal Challengers Bengaluru. She was accompanied by her husband Saif Ali Khan, their sons Taimur Ali Khan and Jeh Ali Khan, along with Saif’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan.
Videos from the evening have been widely shared online, showing the family dressed in Mumbai Indians jerseys as they watched the match from the stands. While most clips capture a relaxed and cheerful vibe, one particular video has stood out for a different reason.
The clip shows the family waiting near a lift inside the stadium when a large crowd gathers around them, with fans attempting to click photos. In the middle of the commotion, Kareena appears visibly uncomfortable. She is seen in what looks like a tense exchange with someone nearby, although it is not clear who the person is or what triggered the moment.
At one point, she turns to Saif and is heard saying, “What is happening?” The situation settles shortly after, and the family is seen entering the lift.

Later visuals from the match suggest that the brief moment did not impact the rest of their evening. Kareena was seen back in the stands, smiling and watching the game with her family.
On the field, Royal Challengers Bengaluru secured a win over Mumbai Indians by 18 runs in the IPL 2026 encounter.
On the work front, Kareena has recently completed shooting for Daayra, an investigative crime drama directed by Meghna Gulzar. The film also features Prithviraj Sukumaran and is backed by Junglee Pictures and Pen Studios. It is expected to release in theatres in 2026. According to the film’s official synopsis, Daayra explores how a single disturbing incident can spark equal and opposite reactions, influencing public perception and raising complex moral questions. The narrative focuses on the blurred lines between justice and truth, encouraging viewers to engage with its themes rather than offering straightforward answers. The project is currently in post-production.
Kareena was last seen in Crew (2024), alongside Tabu and Kriti Sanon, a heist comedy that received a positive response. She also featured in The Buckingham Murders (2024).
