Academy Award–nominated actress and producer Demi Moore arrived at the opening ceremony and La Vénus Electrique (The Electric Venus) screening during the 79th annual Cannes Film Festival.

Demi Moore graced the red carpet in a statement layered necklace from Chopard. As the feature film jury member, Demi’s red-carpet look featured a custom Jacquemus sculpted sequin gown realised in a sparkling shade of silver.
Tailored to perfection, the gown fit Demi like a glove. Styled by Brad Goreski, Demi’s custom ensemble featured a corset-style strapless bodice with sculptural detailing around the waist and a mermaid-style skirt. Jacquemus also put out a behind the scenes video clip on how the maison constructed Demi’s custom look for Cannes.

For her first Cannes red carpet look, the stunning diva looked resplendent in a custom Jacquemus. Exuding regal opulence at the 79th Annual Cannes Film Festival, Demi was joined by her fellow jury members Chloé Zhao and Park Chan-wook on the red carpet.
Sculpted couture met dazzling diamonds on the red carpet and Demi owned the look like a true diva. The Chopard diamond necklace, rings and earrings celebrated Demi’s timeless elegance through a contemporary lens.
From the intricate, dainty pattern of the diamond necklace and the sculpted, floral diamond-studded earrings brought opulence to Demi’s special red-carpet moment as a jury member.
The 79th Annual Cannes Film Festival opening ceremony was attended by an array of celebrities, including Alia Bhatt, Jane Fonda, Payal Kapadia, Peter Jackson, Elijah Wood, Heidi Klum, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu, Dame Joan Collins, Farhana Bodi, Angele Diabang, Tyrese Gibson, Kimberley Garner, Elena Lenina and Urvashi Rautela, among others.
The opening ceremony saw the eight exemplary jury members, including American actress and producer Demi Moore, Ivorian-American actor Isaach De Bankolé, Scottish screenwriter Paul Laverty, Irish-Ethiopian actress Ruth Negga, Belgian director and screenwriter Laura Wandel, Chinese director and screenwriter Chloé Zhao, Chilean director and screenwriter Diego Céspedes, and Swedish actor Stellan Skarsgård take the stage at the event. The 79th Annual Cannes Film Festival will be on till May 23, 2026.
