A bear that sneaked into an artist’s house in Vancouver had a unexpected encounter with a small but fearless pet dog who chased it away.
The pet Pomeranian named Scout barked non-stop forcing the bear to take
the exit. The dramatic standoff was captured on camera and has gone viral on social media. The video on X has so far amassed over 5 million views.

The bear reportedly broke into the house in search of dog food, unaware that the unexpected defender was inside. Rather than cowering, Scout bravely charged at the large intruder, barking relentlessly. His relentless defense successfully drove the bear out of the house and kept it from returning.
As Scout started barking, its owner, a woman, also rushed to the entrance. The woman was seen repeatedly calling for Scout to not go after the bear, fearing it might get hurt. “Scout, Scout, come here,”, the owner was heard saying. The small dog was brave enough to drive the bear away by barking.
Many viewers praised Scout’s courage and determination in the face of such a daunting visitor, calling it “hero.”
