Varun shared a carousel of pictures dressed in a sleek black suit and introduced his character with the caption, “Major Hoshiyar Singh Dahiya. Thank you for the love.” Under the post, one user directly addressed the backlash, commenting, “Bhai, apki acting pe sawal utha rahe hai log, uske liye kya bolege.” Varun’s reply instantly stood out as he wrote, “Yeh sawaal ne gaana hit karadia. Sab enjoy kar rahe hai. Rab di mehar.”
Varun Dhawan Faces Criticism
The criticism around Varun Dhawan’s performance in the song refuses to die down. Despite this, the Badrinath Ki Dulhania actor appeared unfazed and focused on the bigger picture. His composed attitude was again evident during a recent AMA (Ask Me Anything) session on X (formerly Twitter).
When a user mockingly remarked that apart from a moustache, his physique looked unchanged, Varun replied with trademark sarcasm, “No no. I have grown an extra hand as well. Please properly dekhna.”

The original Border, directed by JP Dutta, is considered a landmark in Hindi cinema. Now, the sequel brings together an impressive cast, including Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Sonam Bajwa, Ahan Shetty, Mona Singh, Medha Rana and Anya Singh. Border 2 is set to release on January 23.
