O’Romeo Review: Shahid Kapoor, Triptii Dimri, Nana Patekar and Avinash Tiwary starrer O’Romeo has finally hit theatres on February 13. The narrative centres on a turbulent love story that explores obsession,
heartbreak, and consequences shaped by emotional extremes. The film draws inspiration from a chapter in Hussain Zaidi’s book, Mafia Queens of Mumbai, focusing on gangster Hussain Ustara and Sapna Didi.
Ahead of the film’s release, a special screening was held for some Bollywood celebs, and their reviews have started pouring in on social media. Director Homi Adajania, who is currently working with Shahid in Cocktail 2, reviewed the film and wrote, “Love and gore galore! Vishal Bhardwaj, your storytelling (heart emoji). Shahid Kapoor, so good brotherman (firework emoji). Triptii Dimri, you are so watchable (heart emoji). (clap emojis) crew and cast of O’Romeo.”
Shahid Kapoor’s wife, Mira Rajput, also shared her review on her Instagram Story. She wrote, “Team O’Romeo, you all created a world and whirl. Vishal Bhardwaj, you are a genius of finesse. And I will always cherish the times we laughed and laughed. To catch your tropes is like playing a thrilling game while relishing this new world. That BGM (firework emoji).”
She added, “Triptii Dimri, ferocity with innocence. I almost typed Afshan, you became her. A woman of power who doesn’t wield it heavily. Nana Patekar, looks can kill. Tamannaah Bhatia, ETHEREAL. Nadiadwala Grandson, Avinash Tiwary, Hussain Dalal, Disha Patani and the entire cast and crew of O’Romeo: Ta Tha Thaiya!”
Lastly, for her husband Shahid Kapoor, Mira Rajput wrote, “Shahid Kapoor, my Romeo, your best yet. Not a beat that missed.” Mira Rajput also took to her Instagram handle and penned a sweet note for her star husband. In her note, Mira cheered for Shahid and stated that she is proud of him. She also dropped some candid pictures of herself with Shahid and urged everyone to visit theatres to watch the Vishal Bhardwaj directorial.
The film has finally hit theatres on February 13. The censor certificate, issued on February 11, lists the film’s duration as 178 minutes and 41 seconds — approximately 2 hours, 58 minutes, and 41 seconds. The film will clash at the box office with Shanaya Kapoor and Adarsh Gorav’s Tu Yaa Main.
