According to officials, the complainant also submitted video recordings of the campaign as evidence while filing the complaint.
Meanwhile, on Monday, amid the ongoing campaign, Vijay witnessed high-voltage drama after abruptly cancelling part of his scheduled outreach in Chennai, citing serious lapses in security arrangements for both the public and his convoy.
The development came after Vijay filed his nomination to contest from the Perambur constituency around 12:15 pm and began his campaign shortly. At around 1:05 pm, much earlier than the scheduled 2 pm start.

However, the campaign was disrupted by delays, and it took nearly two hours for the TVK chief to cover around 5 km from Perambur to Kolathur. Despite the delay, a massive crowd gathered in Kolathur to see him.
After this, the TVK alleged that inadequate police deployment led to traffic congestion. The party further stated that poor crowd management left the convoy stranded for a long duration.
They also accused officials of deliberately creating hurdles during the election campaign at the instructions of the ruling DMK.
The event was cancelled in the wake of the recent Karur stampede incident. Citing security concerns, the TVK leadership decided to call off the final leg of Vijay’s campaign in Villivakkam.
