Tara Sutaria, who first appeared in Bollywood in 2019 with Student of the Year 2, has gradually carved out her own identity in the industry. However, her climb has not been without its share of hurdles.
Since her debut, Tara has taken up a varied range of projects and her performances have been critically acclaimed. While the actress noted that it was not a conscious choice initially, in the present times, she has become selective.
Speaking to ETimes, Tara Sutaria said, ” COVID taught me a lot of patience and also made me realise that I need to be a little more mindful of where I want to spend my time. As I am growing older, I am realising how important it is to be selective and wise about what you want to do with your time. I think it’s reflected in my work choices, too. Also, I believe in quality over quantity, and not the other way around.”
Tara Sutaria On Industry Divide
Tara also believes that the divide between industries based on languages should end. She noted, “It is beautiful that as Indians, we have so much to talk about and show as a culture. Today, every artiste can work anywhere and everyone can speak their own language in a single project.” She added Many new actors are venturing into this period of cinema, and even established and veteran actors are portraying personalities and languages that spectators would never imagine. She believes this is an exciting period for India’s entertainment sector.
Tara Sutaria’s Work Front
Tara Sutaria says she is now more focused than ever on prioritising quality over quantity in her career. After featuring in notable projects like Marjaavaan, Ek Villain Returns and her recent OTT film Apurva, the actress is gearing up for Awarapan 2, where she will share the screen with Emraan Hashmi. Alongside her professional milestones, Tara has often been in the spotlight for her personal life. Post her breakup with Aadar Jain, she has been linked to Veer Pahariya, though neither has publicly confirmed the relationship.
