Ranveer Singh’s exit from Don 3 has become one of the top controversies of the year. The actor is embroiled in a legal battle with Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment and has also been facing a non-cooperation
directive by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees. Amid all this, fans are also eager to know who might replace Ranveer Singh and take the legacy of Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan forward. Do we have any updates on this as of now? Let’s find out.
Hrithik Roshan Approached?
Soon after reports of Ranveer’s exit made headlines, rumours began circulating that Hrithik Roshan was being considered to step into the iconic role of Don. Several reports claimed the makers had approached the actor after tensions escalated between Ranveer and the production house.
However, Hrithik dismissed all such speculation and said in a statement, “What started off as just a rumour has now taken a life of its own, and it’s important to set the record straight. I would like to categorically clarify that I was never approached for Don 3 at any given time. I request the media to steer clear of any such unverified reports.”
SRK To Return As Don?
In January this year, a report by TellyChakkar claimed that after Ranveer’s exit, Shah Rukh Khan is likely to return as Don in the third franchise of the movie. It was said that SRK was ‘willing’ to reprise his iconic role but has put one condition: that he will come on board only if Jawan director Atlee is roped in as part of the Don franchise. However, there is no official confirmation regarding these details as of now.
Farhan Stays Silent
While fans are eager to know who might take the lead as the next Don, it should be noted that Farhan Akhtar has not issued any statement regarding the matter yet. Therefore, it remains a mystery as of now who might play Don in the third part of the hit franchise.
